A senior representative of Iran’s central military command structure, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has issued a series of statements rejecting any extension of a ceasefire and warning of continued tensions in the region.

In a post on social media platform X, spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari outlined Tehran’s position on regional security, particularly in relation to the Persian Gulf and surrounding strategic waterways.

“We will maintain control of the Strait of Hormuz until all Iran’s rights are secured,” Zolfaghari stated.

He further added that Iran rejects any extension of the ceasefire regime, stressing that the current situation should not be interpreted as a peace settlement.

“We are prepared for a long war — the Americans are not,” he said, describing the current pause in hostilities as temporary.

“This is merely a pause, not peace,” Zolfaghari added, warning that any ground invasion of Iran would “fail completely.”
