Russian Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers have conducted a flight over international waters in the Barents and Norwegian seas, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on September 15.
The flight lasted about five hours, with the Russian aircraft accompanied by fighter jets from foreign countries in some areas, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Su-33 fighter jets from the Russian Navy were deployed to escort the Tu-95MS aircraft.
The Defence Ministry said Russian military aircraft conduct such flights in accordance with international rules governing the use of airspace.
