BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. Uzbekistan’s
Fergana region and South Korean construction materials producer
SEONGEUN SPECIAL CONCRETE CO., LTD. have signed a memorandum of
cooperation to explore joint projects and the localization of
special reinforced concrete production in the region.


This was reflected in the statement by the Fergana regional
administration, following a visit of a delegation led by Fergana
Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov to the company’s facilities in
Nonsan, South Korea’s South Chungcheong Province, as part of its
working visit to the country..


Company head Park Kye-young briefed the Uzbek delegation on
production processes, product specifications, quality-control
systems and technologies used at the facilities.


Bozorov reviewed the manufacturing processes and finished
products, with particular attention to South Korean experience in
using durable reinforced concrete structures for engineering and
utility infrastructure in urban and rural areas.


The sides discussed establishing cooperation between Fergana
region and SEONGEUN SPECIAL CONCRETE, introducing advanced Korean
technologies and standards in the region, and setting up local
production of specialized reinforced concrete products using
locally sourced raw materials.







The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of
cooperation and the identification of priority areas for potential
joint projects.


The proposed cooperation could support the localization of
infrastructure-related construction materials in Fergana while
bringing Korean production technologies and quality standards to
the region.


Founded in 2013, SEONGEUN SPECIAL CONCRETE specializes in
precast reinforced concrete products for urban and rural
infrastructure, particularly underground utility networks. The
company operates three manufacturing plants. Its product portfolio
includes reinforced concrete pipes for sewerage, stormwater
drainage and irrigation systems, manhole blocks, open concrete
channels and other specialized concrete structures. The company
supplies its products to public and private-sector customers and
operates in accordance with South Korea’s KS national standards and
K-mark quality certification requirements
