BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. Kyrgyz Minister
of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov held a meeting with South
Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources Kim Jung-kwan,
during which the sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on
cooperation in trade and investment.


According to a statement published by the Kyrgyz Ministry of
Economy and Commerce, the signed document is aimed at further
strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation.


"Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt
Sydykov held a meeting with Minister of Trade, Industry and
Resources of the Republic of Korea Kim Jung-kwan. During the
meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in trade and
investment was signed between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce
of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and
Resources of the Republic of Korea," the statement said.


As part of the implementation of the memorandum, a Trade and
Investment Cooperation Committee will operate under the leadership
of the deputy ministers of the two ministries.







The document provides for cooperation in economic and industrial
development, trade facilitation and investment promotion.


The sides also intend to expand cooperation in the halal
industry, critical minerals, digital transformation, chemical
industry and textile production, as well as in developing the
business environment, technical regulation and intellectual
property protection.
