Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Seoul on an official visit, according to the Kyrgyz presidential press service.
Zhaparov was welcomed at the airport by Kum Hanseung, South Korea’s First Vice Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment, along with other senior officials, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.
The national flags of Kyrgyzstan and South Korea were displayed at the airport, while an honour guard and a red-carpet ceremony marked the president’s arrival.
During his visit, Zhaparov is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with South Korea’s senior leadership, with discussions expected to focus on strengthening political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Kyrgyz president will also attend the inaugural Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit, bringing together leaders from Central Asian countries and South Korea to discuss regional cooperation and common challenges.
In addition, Zhaparov is scheduled to participate in a special session of the business summit, where economic ties and opportunities for greater trade and investment are expected to be discussed.
