Azerbaijan exported 14.678 million tons of oil to 10 countries in January–August 2026, with Italy remaining by far the largest buyer, the State Customs Committee confirmed.


Italy accounted for 57.71% of Azerbaijan’s total oil exports during the reporting period. The Czech Republic ranked second with 7.22%, followed by Romania with 6.32%, Caliber.Az reports per local media.


Together, the three leading buyers accounted for 71.23% of Azerbaijan’s total oil exports, underscoring their dominant share of the country’s oil export market during the first eight months of 2026.
