Poland has deployed air defence units along its border with Ukraine to strengthen airspace security, Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
Additional air defence systems have been positioned at border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, according to Russian media.
The defence minister specified that Patriot batteries have also been deployed in the Lublin and Masovian voivodeships, while such systems have already been stationed in the Subcar
Polish authorities are currently holding talks with NATO member states on further strengthening the country’s national air defence system.
Meanwhile, Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński said Warsaw had also stepped up security measures along the land border with Ukraine, placing border crossing points on heightened alert.
