Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev will attend the 7th Caspian Business Forum, which will focus on connectivity, finance and energy along the Middle Corridor and take place at the Harvard Club in New York.
The US-based think tank Caspian Policy Center (CPC) will host the forum, where government and business leaders will discuss the rapidly evolving economic, energy and geopolitical landscape of the Trans-Caspian region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the CPC.
The forum will focus on practical challenges, emerging opportunities and concrete steps to strengthen regional connectivity, investment and commercial cooperation. Participants will also examine how governments and the private sector can advance the next phase of growth in the Trans-Caspian region.
A key topic will be the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), including its potential links with existing transport and trade networks, opportunities for attracting private investment and its role in strengthening connectivity between East and West.
Government and business representatives will discuss steps needed to turn political plans into commercially viable infrastructure, as well as the potential role of the United States and other international partners in supporting the route’s development.
Representatives of the US State Department are also expected to speak at the forum, including Peter Andreoli, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs (TBC), and Mark Cameron, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
The event will also bring together Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Orzhan Kazykhan, Representative of the President of Kazakhstan for Negotiations with the United States; Bakyt Sydykov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan; and Berris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.
