Georgia has always been a reliable partner of the United States, Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said in New York, pointing to the country’s longstanding partnership with Washington and growing geopolitical role.
Speaking at the annual Concordia Summit on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Botchorishvili stressed the importance of developments in the wider region for the United States and pointed to Georgia’s longstanding partnership with Washington, Caliber.Az reports.
“Georgia has contributed for a long time to missions conducted under the auspices of the United States and NATO. We are proud of the partnership we have built over these decades,” she said.
Botchorishvili also spoke about developments in the South Caucasus and Georgia’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
“Georgia has always played an important role in promoting peace in the region and the peaceful resolution of conflicts,” she said.
According to Botchorishvili, the current geopolitical context is creating a situation in which Georgia has an increasingly important geopolitical role, requiring the country to develop various partnerships.
