A Uzbekistan-Syria business forum was held in Tashkent with the participation of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and Syrian Minister of Economy Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar.
According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the event brought together the heads of more than 30 major Syrian companies representing key sectors of the economy.
The forum focused primarily on the practical implementation of agreements reached between the two countries and the promotion of joint investment and trade projects.
To systematically develop economic cooperation, the two sides have established a Joint Economic and Trade Committee, a Business Council and a working group headed by deputy ministers.
Mutual exhibitions are planned to be held in Uzbekistan and Syria in 2027.
During B2B and B2G meetings, representatives of the two countries discussed specific areas of trade and investment cooperation, as well as prospective joint projects.
