The United States is continuing to support defence reforms in Armenia, with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence Andrew Loomis visiting the country for bilateral defence consultations.

The talks focused on programmes aimed at transforming Armenia’s army, including plans to change its uniforms to standards used by NATO, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

Loomis had earlier met Armenian Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff Edvard Asryan, where they discussed joint military exercises and training.
