A Russian strike damaged a pet-supplies warehouse in Ukraine’s Kyiv region on the evening of September 18, according to reports.
The strike hit a logistics hub operated by Suziria Group, a company that supplies pet food and other animal products to stores. The attack caused a fire covering more than 8,000 square meters, while no casualties were reported.
“We are currently assessing the full scale of the consequences. This may temporarily affect the timing and volume of supplies,” the company said.
Suziria Group is a Ukrainian pet-products group with distribution operations across the country. The company says its Kyiv-region warehouse in Kolonshchyna has an area of 7,000 square meters and holds around 6,500 stock-keeping units.
The strike was part of a wider wave of Russian attacks on the Kyiv region. Ukrainian authorities said that over the preceding 24 hours, nine civilian facilities in four districts were damaged, including five warehouses.
