A curfew has been introduced in Baikalsk, Russia’s Irkutsk Region, due to bears, with officials prohibiting residents from leaving their homes after 7 pm.
They said walking in streets, parks and forests is also banned, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Access to the taiga and remote areas has also been restricted, preventing residents from collecting mushrooms and berries.
Pets may only be walked during the daytime within the city limits.
