Azerbaijan was represented at the interregional policy dialogue of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), which focused on the transition to green agriculture, policy coordination, the implementation of innovative solutions, monitoring and evaluation, financing, and regional cooperation.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture said the event was held in Budapest on September 15–16 under the theme Integrated Policy Approach to Greening Agrifood Systems, Caliber.Az reports.
It was organised by the FAO Regional Offices for Europe and Central Asia and for the Near East and North Africa.
Head of the Ministry's Office Azad Jafarli and Director of the Agricultural Research Centre Rashad Huseynov participated in the event.
During the two-day event, a field visit was organized to Kozard, Hungary.
During the visit, participants familiarised themselves with practical examples of multifunctional landscapes and regenerative socio-ecological systems.
