Russia has no plans to mobilise 300,000 people by the end of 2026, says presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, noting that the information does not correspond to reality.

“No. There are no such plans,” Peskov claimed, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing a European security official, reported that Russia could be preparing to call up that number of military personnel.

Partial mobilisation in Russia was announced by Vladimir Putin on September 21, 2022.

The authorities announced the completion of the mobilisation measures on October 31 that year, although no separate presidential decree formally ending the mobilisation was issued.

In early September 2026, the president denied reports that a new wave of mobilisation was being prepared.
