Azerbaijan and Estonia have held the second round of consular consultations between their respective foreign ministries.


The consultations covered the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia in the consular sphere, including the possibility of signing new bilateral documents in this area, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.


The ministry said, during the talks, the sides – the Azerbaijani delegation led by Emil Safarov and the Estonian delegation headed by Markus Sarglepp – stressed the importance of close cooperation in providing consular assistance to citizens of both countries.


"The sides exchanged views on existing practices and advanced mechanisms for the digitalisation of consular services," the ministry noted.


Officials also highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries in migration, justice, internal affairs, education, social affairs and other areas.
