Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the country’s citizens at 6:00 p.m. Moscow time ahead of the upcoming State Duma elections, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov described the address as the president’s traditional pre-election message to Russian voters.
The State Duma elections are scheduled for September 18–20, with 450 MPs to be elected. Half of the seats — 225 — will be contested through federal party lists, while the remaining 225 will be filled through single-member constituencies.
