Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates are strategic partners that share common views and speak with one voice on regional peace and security, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said.

Speaking at the main session of the Euronews Forum held as part of the Arab Media Summit, Hajiyev highlighted the South Caucasus and the Middle East as key components of Azerbaijan’s multifaceted geopolitical identity, stressing the country’s ties to the broader Islamic civilisation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Dubai Press Club.

“In the broader Middle Eastern region, we see that the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan. Maybe there is some geographical distance between us. We are like-minded countries, we are strategic partners, and we are speaking with one voice, and we think that our countries and combining our joint efforts, are providing the peace and security in our region.

I feel more than comfortable myself in this country, in these cities. Therefore, once again, my congratulations to my UAE brothers, whatever is written and said in the international media, we are here, and we will return back to this beautiful city over and over again,” Hajiyev added.
