Türkiye has achieved a 50% improvement across all three domains assessed by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2025, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said.
Speaking during a ceremony marking the opening of the 2026–2027 academic year and educational facilities at Gazi High School in Ankara, he noted that this was a source of pride for the Turkish people, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
PISA is developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), but its assessments include not only member states but also countries that cooperate with the organisation.
“Although some people constantly paint pessimistic scenarios, a truly successful, globally minded, tech-savvy and self-improving generation of bright and promising young people is emerging. Not only in education, but also in sport, the arts, science and other fields, our children’s record of achievements is rising every year,” Erdoğan stressed.
