Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has directed the $500,000 monetary prize accompanying the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity to the Garabagh Revival Fund.
The award was presented on September 14 by Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, during a meeting in Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.
Aliyev received the award in recognition of his contribution to establishing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Under the award's terms, the Azerbaijani president is entitled to a monetary prize of $500,000.
Aliyev has instructed that the full amount be transferred to the Garabagh Revival Fund.
