The price of diesel in Belgium is set to exceed €2.50 per litre from September 22.
The maximum price for B7 diesel will rise to €2.501 per litre, surpassing the previous record of €2.489 set on April 9 following the war in the Middle East, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The maximum price for B7 diesel will increase by 3.3 cents per litre, while the price for B10 diesel will rise by 3.4 cents.
Fuel oil prices will also increase, with the maximum price rising by 1.92 cents to €1.6217 per litre for orders of less than 2,000 litres. Maximum prices for diesel used in agriculture will also increase.
Diesel prices across Europe are expected to remain under pressure amid supply shortages and geopolitical risks. Last week, new record prices were reported in Germany, France and Switzerland, where diesel averaged €2.47, €2.39 and €2.55 per litre, respectively.
