British officials intend to rewrite the government’s “military plan” by the end of 2026, referring to a program aimed at preparing the country for crises and conflicts, The Telegraph reports.
According to the newspaper, ministers are accelerating the development of emergency plans for the civilian population in the event of war. “A ‘home defence exercise’ is also being planned for next year, which involves crisis planning by military and civil officials,” the report added.
UK Security Minister Dan Jarvis also told Parliament that the government is working on an information campaign aimed at raising public awareness of “resilience” and the risks of a potential conflict.
