Poland scrambled fighter jets on September 17 after Russian attack drones were reported in western regions of Ukraine, according to the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command.
The command said it had activated the necessary forces and resources in line with established procedures following the Russian attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Polish military aircraft began operating in Polish airspace, while ground-based air-defence and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on alert.
The measures were described as preventive and aimed at protecting Polish airspace, particularly in areas close to the zones affected by the threat.
