Two explosions occurred within minutes of each other in Frankfurt am Main early on September 17, with the first reported on Berger Straße in the Nordend district and the second on Zeil, a major shopping street in the city centre, German police said.
The first reports came at around 4:20 a.m., according to German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. The explosion on Berger Straße occurred at a store, while the second hit a kiosk on Zeil.
Police and forensic investigators are working at the scenes. Information on possible casualties and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
