The Tbilisi City Court has sentenced former head of Georgia’s State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili to 13 years in prison over bribery.

He was charged with receiving a particularly large bribe as part of a group acting on a prior agreement, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

Investigators also linked him to protecting the activities of call centres.

Liluashvili was arrested on 23 December 2025. He has denied the charges.
