NASA’s FIRMS mapping platform has detected large fires in Russia’s Taganrog, following a missile strike on the territory of the G. M. Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, as well as the Taganrog Automobile Plant (TagAZ), a former Russian vehicle assembly company that went bankrupt in 2014.
According to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, the facility’s premises are currently being used for military purposes, including production and storage facilities operated by Atlant-Aero, a company involved in the production of Molniya-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
