Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent congratulations to Morocco’s King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Kingdom’s national holiday, expressing confidence in further strengthening bilateral ties.


In his message addressed to King Mohammed VI, Aliyev conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the monarch and the people of Morocco on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.


The Azerbaijani leader emphasised the importance of relations between the two countries, noting that Azerbaijan-Morocco ties are based on historical roots and strong traditions.


“I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to further strengthen the friendly ties uniting our countries and peoples and to successfully continue our mutually beneficial cooperation,” Aliyev said.


The president also wished King Mohammed VI good health, happiness, success in his state activities, and lasting peace and prosperity for the Moroccan people.
