The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazada, and President of the Turkic Academy, Academician Shahin Mustafayev, have discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of culture, history and academic research.
The meeting, held in Baku, focused on the activities of both institutions and opportunities for joint projects aimed at preserving and promoting the shared heritage of Turkic peoples, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the talks, Pashazada presented information about the scientific and practical work carried out by the Caucasus Muslim Board. Mustafayev outlined the Turkic Academy’s main areas of activity, including international research initiatives and the organisation’s publishing projects.
The two sides expressed interest in developing further cooperation through joint academic and cultural events, as well as initiatives focused on the study and preservation of Turkic history and traditions.
During the meeting, Mustafayev presented Pashazada with a copy of The First Karakhanid Qur’an, a publication prepared by the Turkic Academy. The work represents one of the earliest known translations of the Qur’an into the Turkic language from the Karakhanid period.
The Turkic Academy is an international research organisation focused on studying the history, language, culture and heritage of Turkic peoples.
