The President of Azerbaijan has received the title of Honorary Doctor from the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture in recognition of his contributions to education, science and urban development.
A delegation from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, currently in Baku for the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), announced the decision during a meeting at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education, Caliber.Az reports.
University rector Oleksii Dniprov said the Academic Council approved the award, citing President Aliyev’s role in advancing modern education and urban planning in Azerbaijan and in strengthening Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations.
Officials presented the honorary diploma to the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan during the meeting.
Both sides also discussed expanding cooperation between universities in Azerbaijan and Ukraine, with a focus on academic exchange and joint initiatives in higher education.
