DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 14. Tajikistan
and Germany plan to take steps to further strengthen mutually
beneficial cooperation in priority areas, Trend reports via the Tajik
MFA.


The matter was addressed on January 13, 2026, in Berlin, during
the most recent round of political consultations between Tajikistan
and Germany. The discussions were co-chaired by Farrukh
Hamralizoda, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of
Tajikistan, and Niklas Wagner, Commissioner of the Federal Foreign
Office of Germany for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central
Asia.


Throughout the talks, the parties exchanged perspectives on the
current state of bilateral relations and explored avenues for
expanding cooperation across a range of sectors, including
politics, economics, trade, investment, energy, science, education,
and culture.


The discussions also focused on pressing regional and
international issues, the two countries' collaboration within
international organizations, and the enhancement of cooperation in
critical areas such as water resources, climate change, and glacier
protection.







Earlier, Tajikistan and the European Union explored
opportunities to broaden their collaboration across several key
sectors during the 11th session of the Cooperation Council held in
Brussels.


The dialogue encompassed a range of critical areas, including
trade and investment opportunities, security, transport and digital
communications, critical raw materials, and the transition to green
energy.
