Bukhara will host a series of events showcasing Azerbaijan’s culture, literature and arts as part of the planned “Days of Azerbaijani Culture and Arts.”
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Akif Marifli, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Centre at Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Uzbekistan, and heads of leading cultural and arts institutions in the Bukhara region, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The meeting, held at the Bukhara Regional Department of Culture, brought together representatives of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, Bukhara Specialized School of Arts, Regional Drama Theatre, Puppet Theatre and Bukhara Maqom Specialized Boarding School.
The participants highlighted the growing importance of cultural ties in strengthening the longstanding relations of friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. They attributed the development of bilateral cultural cooperation to the political will and continued efforts of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Under the agreement, the cultural days will feature presentations, meetings, creative programs and other events involving cultural figures and artists from both countries. Azerbaijani and Uzbek representatives are also expected to participate jointly in the program.
The sides discussed plans for reciprocal visits and exchanges of experience between artists and creative groups, as well as initiatives to promote national music and arts and organize joint concerts, exhibitions and other cultural projects.
They noted that the shared historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan provides a strong foundation for expanding and enriching bilateral cultural cooperation.
