ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 9. Kazakhstan has
approved a plan for the digitalization of the construction sector
for 2026-2027, Trend
reports, citing the government.
The document was endorsed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister
of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan
Madiyev and Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin
Nagaspayev.
The plan delineates critical objectives for the digital
transformation of the construction sector, encompassing the entire
lifecycle of construction projects, from initial planning and
design through to construction, commissioning, and the ongoing
operation of buildings and infrastructure.
Key measures within the strategy include the mandatory adoption
of Building Information Modeling (BIM), the automation of public
services related to construction, the development of digital
passports for construction assets, and the conversion of
construction norms and standards into machine-readable formats.
These initiatives are designed to streamline operations, reduce
the risk of errors, and enhance the predictability of project
execution.
The overarching goal of the plan is to foster greater
transparency and governance within the sector, shorten construction
timelines, lower costs, eliminate administrative hurdles, and
ultimately enhance the quality and safety of construction
projects.
Meanwhile, today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the
Construction Code and the Digital Code of Kazakhstan.
