Recent progress in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process is significant not only for the two countries but for the wider stability and development of the South Caucasus, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has said.
Botchorishvili made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the UN Peacebuilding Commission’s Ministerial-level Meeting, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
She stressed that a more peaceful and predictable South Caucasus would open up broader opportunities for economic growth, investment, regional cooperation and connectivity.
According to the Georgian foreign minister, greater stability across the region could also help strengthen economic development in all three South Caucasus countries.
