The third and final day of voting is underway in Russia’s State Duma elections, with turnout reaching 45.38% as of 8:16 a.m. Moscow time, according to data from the Central Election Commission portal.
Voting is taking place from September 18 to 20, with Russians electing State Duma deputies, members of legislative assemblies in 39 regions, and senior officials in Mordovia, Tuva, Chechnya, and the Belgorod, Penza, Tver and Ulyanovsk regions. Polling stations are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Moscow time.
A total of 333 polling stations have been established for Russians voting abroad, operating across 152 countries. In most countries, they are open only on the single voting day, September 20.
According to the Central Election Commission, as of July 1, around 111 million voters lived in Russia, while more than 1.8 million were registered abroad.
