Azerbaijan's envoy to Kenya is working on strengthening the countries' bilateral ties on parliamentary issues.
Ambassador Sultan Hajiyev met with the speaker of the Kenyan Senate, Amason Kingi to discuss avenues to further develop interparliamentary cooperation.
The diplomat shared his impressions of the meeting via his official X account.
“I am confident that this substantive discussion will contribute to further strengthening the dynamic cooperation between the Senate of Kenya and the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan,” Hajiyev said.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kenya were established on May 28, 2004, with Hajiyev serving as the head of the mission since 2024. The embassy also serves as Azerbaijan's representation to Congo and to the UN office in Nairobi.
