Kuwait’s airspace, shut on February 28 following the launch of a US and Israeli military operation against Iran, will remain closed for at least another 12 hours.
A source in Middle Eastern air traffic control services said that the restriction is expected to stay in place until 16:00 GMT, though the timeline remains provisional, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
This means the country’s skies have now been closed to civilian aviation for a 46th consecutive day.
Partial restrictions also remain in the airspace of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, Iraq, Syria and Bahrain have reopened their skies to flights, with Bahrain allowing aircraft to land and transit subject to prior coordination.
