Azerbaijan has expressed its condolences to Algeria following a fatal passenger bus accident in Boumerdès Governorate that claimed at least 25 lives and left dozens of people injured.


In a statement posted on X, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry conveyed its sym Caliber.Az reports.






"We extend deepest condolences to the Government and people of friendly Algeria over the tragic passenger bus accident in Boumerdès Governorate that claimed many lives," the ministry said, adding that Azerbaijan stands in solidarity with Algeria during this difficult time.


The accident occurred on July 31 near the coastal town of Boumerdès, east of the capital, Algiers, when a passenger bus overturned, according to local officials.


At least 25 people were killed in the crash, while dozens of others sustained injuries. Authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the accident.
