BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. Uzbekistan
Technological Metals Complex (TMK) has proposed a joint project
with U.S. company Metallica Commodities to recover valuable
minerals and metals from industrial waste during a meeting on
October 19 in Samarkand.
This was reflected in the statement by the TMK, following a
meeting between TMK representatives and Adrian Bazilio, Metallica
Commodities’ managing director for trade and operations in
Africa.
The talks focused on the potential use of the U.S. company’s
industrial waste processing technology to recover valuable
materials from TMK’s production waste.
TMK proposed implementing joint projects based on the technology
at its Kelajak Metallari technology park. The initiative also
prompted discussions on assessing opportunities to process
industrial waste across Uzbekistan and other Central Asian
countries.
The sides expressed interest in further examining the project’s
technological and practical feasibility and agreed to work together
on evaluating its implementation.
The discussions remain at the assessment stage, with further
technical evaluation expected to determine the project's
feasibility.
Metallica Commodities Corp. is a U.S.-based metals and minerals
trading company specializing in ferrous and nonferrous metals,
mineral resources and industrial byproducts. Its activities also

with TMK to assess the recovery of valuable materials from
industrial waste.
