At least nine people were killed and 27 others injured in a large-scale Russian overnight attack on Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, according to the latest figures released by the country's State Emergency Service (SES).
The strikes hit several districts of the capital, including Solomenskyi, Darnytskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Dniprovskyi and Pecherskyi, Caliber.Az reports.
Ukrainian authorities said the attack damaged private residential buildings and vehicles, while missile strikes triggered fires in multiple parts of the city.
Emergency crews remain at the affected sites, where search and rescue operations are continuing.
According to the SES, 105 people have been rescued so far, with the casualty figures expected to be updated as the operation continues.
