The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say troops from the 91st Division have carried out a series of operations in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah-linked militants and infrastructure.
According to an IDF statement, forces operating in the area recently identified a militant cell near their positions, Caliber.Az reports.
One individual was observed taking cover in vegetation and was subsequently struck in an Israeli Air Force (IAF) operation directed by ground troops. The IDF also reported that a vehicle carrying additional members of the same group, who were attempting to flee, was hit during the operation.
The IDF said its air force continues to support ground operations in the area, including strikes on a weapons storage facility and other infrastructure sites it attributes to Hezbollah.
Over the past week, the military said more than 40 militants were killed and over 50 sites linked to Hezbollah were dismantled as part of ongoing operations directed by the 91st Division.
