The opposition Tisza Party led by Péter Magyar is ahead of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz party by 9–13 percentage points across different voter categories, according to a new poll by the Publicus Institute.


Among decided voters, Tisza receives 52%, while Fidesz stands at 39%, giving a 13-point lead, Caliber.Az reports, citing Hungarian media.


Overall in the poll, Tisza receives 38%, while Fidesz stands at 29%.


Among those certain to vote, the figures stand at 45% versus 34%.


The survey was conducted between April 7 and 9 among 1,004 respondents and is representative of Hungary’s adult population.
