The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it has destroyed more than 130 Iranian air defence systems as part of a series of coordinated airstrikes across Iran, describing the campaign as an effort to weaken the country’s military capabilities.

In a statement, the Israeli military said the strikes were carried out by the Israeli Air Force using intelligence-guided targeting to hit what it described as key elements of Iran’s air defence network, Caliber.Az reports.

The IDF said the operations form part of a broader, ongoing effort to degrade what it called the “fire array” and defensive infrastructure of the Iranian government. It also released footage from the strikes.
