Diplomatic negotiations with international opponents should be viewed “as part of the conflict ” rather than a step toward reconciliation, Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Hossein Mohebbi said.
According to Mohebbi, Iran can engage in negotiations when its interests require it while maintaining full military readiness.
“One war is fought with weapons; in negotiations, the war is fought with words, arguments and diplomatic methods,” Mohebbi said.
He stressed that diplomatic contacts do not mean weakening Iran’s position or abandoning military readiness.
