Insured Ozon sellers whose goods were damaged in drone attacks on the marketplace’s warehouses have received the first tranche of insurance payments totaling 8.2 billion rubles ($97 million).

The compensation was paid to around 90,000 entrepreneurs whose goods were damaged at Ozon warehouses in Russia’s Samara Region, Dagestan and Adygea.

The payments were made before the completion of a full assessment of the damage in order to provide timely support to the affected businesses, according to the report.

A second tranche of compensation will be paid once all necessary formalities and damage assessments have been completed.
