Lithuania has prepared an evacuation plan for Vilnius residents in the event of a military threat or major crisis, with one of the designated routes leading towards Poland, Polish Radio reports.

The report said the evacuation order and routes would depend on the location and scale of the threat.

In addition to Poland, the plan includes routes towards northern and western Lithuania.

The plan does not indicate that an evacuation is currently underway. It is a contingency measure intended to prepare residents and authorities for a possible military threat or large-scale crisis.

Lithuania’s Interior Ministry has also approved a nationwide detailed evacuation plan covering responses to military and civil threats.
