Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has presented the country’s investment potential at a business forum in Switzerland.


The Ministry of Economy said the event was attended by government officials from both countries as well as representatives of companies operating in the energy, transport and logistics, construction, machinery and other sectors, Caliber.Az reports.


Jabbarov spoke about the development of Azerbaijani-Swiss economic cooperation, stressing that trade and mutual investment remain priorities in bilateral ties.


The minister highlighted Azerbaijan’s favourable business and investment environment, strategic geographical location, transport and logistics capabilities, and growing role in the Middle Corridor.


He noted that the country’s existing free economic and industrial zones, along with its green energy potential, create new opportunities for cooperation with investors, including Swiss companies.




The forum also addressed global trends related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, innovation ecosystems and investment promotion.


During the talks, Azerbaijani and Swiss companies delivered presentations, while participants exchanged views on investment priorities, opportunities to access global markets and cooperation models.
