Azerbaijan and Czechia have discussed cooperation in shipbuilding, including the potential use of Czech technologies and equipment at the Baku Shipyard.
The sides – the shipyard’s management and representatives of Czech companies – focused on prospects for cooperation in strategic sectors such as shipbuilding, ship repair and the development of modern maritime infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The report said the talks brought together leading Czech industrial companies, including TOS VARNSDORF, Wikov Group, ŽĎAS, LANEX, ACO Marine and ANAJ Czech.
Representatives of Czech businesses gave presentations introducing their Azerbaijani counterparts to their companies’ key expertise, innovative solutions and production capabilities.
“Particular emphasis was placed on the potential integration of Czech equipment into the technological processes of the Baku Shipyard,” officials noted.
Following the meeting, the participants confirmed their mutual interest in expanding contacts and developing long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation.
