Georgia’s former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, who is currently in custody, has been charged with a new corruption offence involving allegedly accepting a bribe on an exceptionally large scale, the country’s Prosecutor’s Office said.
The new charge was announced at a briefing by the Prosecutor’s Office, according to Georgian media reports cited by Caliber.Az.
Garibashvili previously held the position of prime minister and is now facing additional legal proceedings related to alleged corruption.
