Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has begun collecting signatures for a framework bill intended to establish the legal basis for the "Terror-Free Türkiye" initiative.
Under a decision by the party's parliamentary leadership, all AK Party lawmakers are expected to sign the draft before it is formally submitted to parliament, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The proposed legislation is expected to define the legal mechanisms for implementing the initiative, including counterterrorism measures as well as policies on social integration and reintegration.
The AK Party has described the bill as one of the key steps in its strategy to eliminate terrorism from the country's agenda.
