Turkish firefighters have brought the country's three remaining major wildfires under control, Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı announced.
“Thanks to effective operations from the air and the ground, the fires in the Çine district of Aydın Province, Susurluk in Balıkesir Province, and the Buca district of İzmir have been brought fully under control,” the minister said in remarks carried by TRT Haber.
According to Yumaklı, Türkiye has recorded 314 wildfires since July 29.
The Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications said firefighting efforts involved 28 aircraft, 119 helicopters, 14 drones, and more than 5,000 units of ground equipment.
